OUR BOARD
Cruces Cool Cats is made up of volunteers. There are no paid staff.
PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
Selina Cardoza
For many years, my dream has been to operate a cat rescue. And here we are! Cruces Cool Cats is up and running to help as many homeless cats as we can! I am an animal lover with 4 cats, 5 dogs, 5 large fish tanks, and 1 turtle of my own. I cannot remember a time without an animal in my life.
VICE PRESIDENT
Nadine Armijo
I have been a lover of animals all my life. No matter how big or how small, I like to rescue animals in every situation. I like this opportunity to help my community in Vado, to fix our community cats and educate people.
SECRETARY & CARETAKER
Joseph Lucero
I am a full-time college student, have a part-time job, and am the caretaker of CCC home. I have a strong passion for cats. I am very excited to be part of this special mission.
CARETAKER
Isaiah Moreno
I am originally from Ft. Worth, and moved down here a couple of years ago. I am an animal lover and was very excited to hear about an opening as caregiver for CCC. Growing up, I had a variety of animals, such as saltwater fish, snakes, dogs, birds, and cats. I always look forward to helping our community cats!
BOARD MEMBER
Cesar Cardona
I moved to New Mexico at the start of my high school freshman year in 2016. I love animals and have had dogs, cats, parrots, and even a hamster (R.I.P. Julius Cheesar). I believe that the work done at Cruces Cool Cats is a blessing for the cats in the community. I'm currently studying physics at Boston University.
TREASURER
Jessie Rodriguez
I love cats and all animals that I can help. Before CCC, I had a feline leukemia cat colony, my partner and myself did everything to trap, treat and care for our colony. I feel like I could help so much more in our community with CCC.
CREATIVE OFFICER
Cassidy Zehnder
I love animals, both domestic and wild, and am really passionate about CCC's mission. I moved to Las Cruces in summer 2023 and inherited about 15 community cats with the property. I also have 3 cats and a dog of my own. I work for a nonprofit called Project Coyote.
